Create a new Company SF -> M (With Addressbook modules)

This instruction describes how to synchronize Salesforce Account into the new Magento Company

Addressbook module creates a new mapping for the Company “sf_type” with the default value “Direct“. “Direct“ Salesforce Account type is identified as Company in Magento

  • Go to Magento Admin panel - Salesforce - Manage Mappings - Manage Company mappings

Also, “Direct“ Salesforce account type should be activated in Salesforce Org

  • Go to Salesforce Org - Click Setup Gear and type “Object Manages“ into the Search Setup field

  • Click on Account and select “Fields & Relationships“ tab

  • Find “Type“ record and click on it

  • Activate “Direct“, “Individual“ and “Ship To“ account types

  • Click on Page Layout tab and select “Account Layout

  • Select Fields and add the “Company Administrator“ field to the layout

  • Click Buttons and add “Sync Account with Magento“ to the layout

Now you will be able to create a new Company

  • go to Salesforce Org - Apps - Accounts and click the New button

  • Provide all required files: Account Name, Phone, Billing Address

  • select “Direct“ type

  • Select or create a new Company Administrator

  • provide all required Contact Information: First Name, Last Name, Phone, email, Address Information

  • Save Contact and Save Account

  • Switch to Salesforce Classic View and open Account

  • Click “Sync Account with Magento“ button and Send data to Magento

  • Go to Mageto Admin panel - Customers - Companies and check the new Company was created

  • Go to Magento Admin panel - Customers - All Customers and check new company admin user was created
