1. Leverage Salesforce Leads

If “Leverage Salesforce Leads“ option is set to “No“, Magento customer will be created as Contact. No link in “Salesforce Lead ID“ column

  • go to Magento Admin panel - Salesforce (sidebar menu) - B2B & Customers - Leads Integration tab

  • set “Leverage Salesforce Leads“ option is set to “No

  • go to Magento Frontend and create new customer

  • go to Magento Admin panel - Customers - All Customers

  • scroll to created customer

  • check Salesforce Lead ID“ column

If “Leverage Salesforce Leads“ option is set to “Yes“, Magento customer will first be created as a Lead and then converted to a Contact upon placing the first order in Magento

  • go to Magento Admin panel - Salesforce (sidebar menu) - B2B & Customers - Leads Integration tab

  • set “Leverage Salesforce Leads“ option is set to “Yes

  • go to Magento Frontend and create new customer

  • go to Magento Admin panel - Customers - All Customers

  • scroll to created customer

  • check Salesforce Lead ID“ column

2. Convert Leads

If set “Convert Leads“ option to “No“ Lead won’t be converted in Salesforce when Magento customer place an order

  • go to Magento Admin panel - Salesforce (sidebar menu) - B2B & Customers - Leads Integration tab

  • set “Leverage Salesforce Leads“ option is set to “Yes

  • set “Convert Leads” option to “No

  • go to Magento Frontend and create new customer

  • place an order with the created customer

  • go to Magento Admin panel - Customers - All Customers

  • scroll to the created customer and click on “Salesforce Lead ID“ link

  • check Lead status

If set “Convert Leads“ option to “Yes“ Lead will be converted in Salesforce when Magento customer place an order

  • go to Magento Admin panel - Salesforce (sidebar menu) - B2B & Customers - Leads Integration tab

  • set “Leverage Salesforce Leads“ option is set to “Yes

  • set “Convert Leads” option to “Yes

  • go to Magento Frontend and create new customer

  • place an order with the created customer

  • go to Magento Admin panel - Customers - All Customers

  • scroll to the created customer and click on “Salesforce Lead ID“ link

  • check Lead status

3. Converted Lead Status

“Converted Lead Status” option allows you to choose Lead Status to be set in Salesforce when Lead to Contact/Account conversion takes place

  • go to Magento Admin panel - Salesforce (sidebar menu) - B2B & Customers - Leads Integration tab

  • set “Converted Lead Status“ option is set to “Yes

4. Delete converted Lead

If set “Delete converted Lead“ option to “No“ Lead will not be deleted in Salesforce after they are converted to Account+Contact

  • go to Magento Admin panel - Salesforce (sidebar menu) - B2B & Customers - Leads Integration tab

  • set “Leverage Salesforce Leads“ option is set to “Yes

  • set “Convert Leads” option to “Yes

  • Set “Delete converted Lead“ option to “No

  • go to Magento Frontend and create new customer

  • place an order with the created customer

  • go to Magento Admin panel - Customers - All Customers

  • scroll to the created customer and check “Salesforce Lead ID“ column contain link

  • click on “Salesforce Lead ID“ link

  • Salesforce Lead page should opens

If set “Delete converted Lead“ option to “Yes“ Lead will be deleted in Salesforce after they are converted to Account+Contact

  • go to Magento Admin panel - Salesforce (sidebar menu) - B2B & Customers - Leads Integration tab

  • set “Leverage Salesforce Leads“ option is set to “Yes

  • set “Convert Leads” option to “Yes

  • Set “Delete converted Lead“ option to “Yes

  • go to Magento Frontend and create new customer

  • place an order with the created customer

  • go to Magento Admin panel - Customers - All Customers

  • scroll to the created customer and check “Salesforce Lead ID“ column is empty

5. Lead Assignment Rule

Lead Assignment Rule” option allows you to select the rule according to which owners are assigned to leads

  • go to Magento Admin panel - Salesforce (sidebar menu) - B2B & Customers - Leads Integration tab

  • click on “Lead Assignment Rule“ drop-down list

  • select rule from the list

To create new or edit existing Lead Assignment Rules in Salesforce

  • go to Salesforce and click on “Gears“ (Setup) button

  • type “Lead Assignment Rules” into “Search“ field

  • click on “Lead Assignment Rules“ result

6. Default Owner

Default Owner“ option allows you to choose the owner who will be assigned to Lead when new Magento customer is created

  • go to Magento Admin panel - Salesforce (sidebar menu) - B2B & Customers - Leads Integration tab

  • click on “Default Owner“ drop-down list

  • select owner from the list

7. Lead Source

Lead Source” option allows you to select the source for all Leads coming from Magento

  • go to Magento Admin panel - Salesforce (sidebar menu) - B2B & Customers - Leads Integration tab

  • click on “Lead Source“ drop-down list

  • select source from the list

  • go to Magento Frontend and create new customer

  • go to Magento Admin panel - Customers - All Customers

  • scroll to the created customer and click on “Salesforce Lead ID“ link

8. Include into lookup

Include into lookup“ => “Yes”

If set Set “Include into lookup“ option to “Yes” additional filtering logic will apply for the lead lookup to leverage segmentation or use a more global approach to find existing leads in the system regardless of a channel from which the lead came.

  • go to Magento Admin panel - Salesforce (sidebar menu) - B2B & Customers - Leads Integration

  • Set “Include into lookup“ option to “Yes

  • Set “Lead Source“ option to “Web

  • Create new Lead in Salesforce with “Lead Source” “Phone Inquiry” (for ex.)

  • go to Magento Frontend and create new Magento customer with the same name and email as Lead in Salesforce

  • go to Magento Admin panel - Customers - All Customers - scroll to created customer

  • click on “Salesforce Lead ID“ link and check Salesforce Lead page

As a result, a new Lead is created in Salesforce with the same name and email, but with lead source as configured in Magento

Include into lookup“ => “No”

If set Set “Include into lookup“ option to “No” no additional filtering will apply

  • go to Magento Admin panel - Salesforce (sidebar menu) - B2B & Customers - Leads Integration

  • Set “Include into lookup“ option to “No

  • Set “Lead Source“ option to “Web


9. Lead de-duplication

Leave duplicates

  • go to Magento Admin panel - Salesforce (sidebar menu) - B2B & Customers - Leads Integration

  • Set “Lead de-duplication“ option to “Leave Duplicates” to allow duplicates to remain in your Salesforce account data.

Automatically

  • go to Magento Admin panel - Salesforce (sidebar menu) - B2B & Customers - Leads Integration

  • Set “Lead de-duplication“ option to “Automatically” to automatically de-duplicate account data. We base this on an exact account name match (for example, "Microsoft" and "Microsoft Inc." would be considered two different accounts).
